When I met Meredith Bell and Luke Matthews, co-founders of Statera Cellars, it was somewhat kismet. They were friends of a friend, who happened to be doing something extraordinary and meaningful through hard work and love. I was won over by their story, and their dedication on making the best wine they could completely naturally. An uphill battle, surely. The harder road, and one that can end in disaster in less capable hands.
They gave me a crash course in wine, and I worked with them to give their delicious small batch diffusion labels an identity out in the world.
Naturally, we settled upon the icon of Sisyphus, and all else fell into place.
